BCS 7-ON-7 TOURNAMENTS
MEMORIAL DAY 7 ON 7 TOURNEY
Date: Sunday, May 26th
Location: Mira Costa Waller Stadium, Manhattan Beach, CA 90278
OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS (12U – 18U) – not just BCS players!
Tournament/Game Structure:
• 3 Group/Pool round games then bracketed playoffs
• Games are 26 minutes (running clock; two 13-minute halves and a 1-minute halftime)
• 1 timeout per team, per game
• 1 coach allowed on the field
• No center – QB will take ball off of a timed stand (all players are eligible receivers)
• QB must throw the ball within 5 seconds of taking possession of the ball off the tee.
• 1 pass rush per each set of downs (1 rusher, can rush after a 2 second delay)
• QB can run only when rushed (QB is permitted to hand off to a tailback whenever they want)
• Offensive possession begins with ball on the 40-yard line, 3 downs to get a 1st down at the 20-yard line (no punts or field goals)
• Once a team crosses the 20-yard line it will be 1st and goal (4 downs, with no field goals)
• Receivers can be bumped by defenders within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage
• Touchdowns – 7 points or teams can opt to go for a two-point conversion (if they are unsuccessful the TD will be scored as 6 points)
• Defensive stop (turnover on downs) – 2 points for the team on defense
• Interception – 2 points (or 6 points if returned to the 40-yard line and considered a TD)
