2024 Outstanding Alumni Award - Cole Aubrey

An accomplished student-athlete who began his football career in the inaugural season of the BCS back in 2008, Cole went on to win numerous BCS Super Bowls. 

He graduated from St. John Bosco High School, where he excelled in the classroom and on the field, as class Valedictorian and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while setting school records for the most sacks in a single season (17.5) and all-time in the Trinity League (42).

This earned him a spot at Princeton University, where he was a standout player while achieving Academic All-Ivy honors and contributing to an Ivy League championship. He also participated in the Dream Japan Bowl All-Star game.

Cole continued his athletic journey as a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame, where he was recognized as a Monogram Winner, underscoring his dedication and contributions to the Fighting Irish football program.

2023 Outstanding Alumni Award

Dylan Black started playing BCS flag football in 2011 and played every season (fall/spring) through 2018, where he won a few championships with his Ducks team, and was then inducted into the BCS’s Hall of Fame in 2018. After his BCS career, Dylan attended Mira Costa where he was on the Boy’s Varsity basketball team all 4 years of high school and started (and was co-captain of the team) his sophomore through senior years, all while maintaining above a 4.0 GPA. While playing for the basketball team, Dylan received All-Bay League and All-CIF Southern honors and was named Co-MVP of the Bay League his senior year. Dylan will now be heading to Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburg, PA, in the fall, where he plans to major in Decision Science and where he will play for the school’s Men’s Basketball team as a shoot guard.

2022 Outstanding Alumni Award - Patrick Sodl

Starting as a six year old, Patrick Sodl played in the BCS for six years and competed in six Super Bowls. His teams won numerous championships during that span. Patrick used his BCS experience and played Pop Warner tackle football in El Segundo for several seasons where he played middle linebacker and running back. Patrick then enrolled at Loyola High School of Los Angeles where he became a standout middle linebacker for the Cubs. He was named first team All-Angelus League his Junior and Senior seasons where he led the league averaging 15 tackles a game. Patrick was named Captain his senior season and Defensive MVP of the team. Patrick has committed to play football in the Ivy League at Columbia University in New York City. 2021 Outstanding Alumni Award - Davis Warren

Davis Warren began playing in BCS as a 6-year-old in the league’s inaugural 2008 season. He played every Fall and Spring season thereafter. He played in over 10 Super Bowls and was part of 5 championship Bulldog teams. Davis went on to play QB at Loyola HS in LA and Suffield Academy in Connecticut. In the Spring of 2019, Davis was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles over a 5-month hospital stay but was determined to finish up in time to start school and football workouts. He worked hard to gain back his strength and weight to play by mid-season, Fall of 2019 - despite skepticism from his doctors. Fortunately, he has been in remission since then and back on the gridiron. Davis was also an Asst. Coach for the D11 Gators this Spring. Davis was recruited by numerous D1 programs and committed to the University of Michigan and the Ross School of Business. He was placed on full scholarship in 2023. 2019 Outstanding Alumni Award - Christian Kai Bathurst

Kai started playing BCS football as a 7-year old in our leagues’ inaugural 2008 season. He had great success with his Gator and Mustang teams. His team played in numerous Super Bowls games and notched 2 Super Bowl wins. Kai moved from the field to the water, where he has been an Academic All-American Swimmer the past 3 years, won 2 Gold and 1 Silver medal in this years CIF and has been named to the All-Area team all 4 years at Mira Costa High School. In addition, he has been swimming for BCS (Beach Cities Swimming) Club Team at the National Level the past 3 years. He began his career at Indiana University, and has since transferred to UC Berkeley, where he was part of their Pac-12 team championship in 2021. Kai is pictured with his Dad, John.

2018 Outstanding Alumni Award - Jack Alexander, Jr.

Jack Alexander Jr. played in our inaugural season in 2008, and won numerous Super Bowls. He went on to star at Redondo Union High School, where he was the starting Quarterback for the last two years. This year he passed for over 2000 yards, with 19 touchdowns, while also running in 8 TDs himself. Jack was the league MVP, earning All-League and All Area honors, and played in the Blue Grey All-American Bowl. Jack is currently on the football team at Chapman University. Jack is shown with League President John Forbes, his Mom Vicki, and his Father Jack Alexander Sr.

2017 Outstanding Alumni Award - Mason Hanlon

Mason played many seasons in the BCS, winning SIX Super Bowls, was elected to our inaugural Hall of Fame. He attended Loyola High School where he was a two time 1st Team All Mission League selection in lacrosse. Mason will attend & play lacrosse at Babson College.

2016 Outstanding Alumni Award - Alexa Underwood

Alexa played longer than any other girl in league history, and had great success at Mira Costa High School in both basketball and volleyball, eventually earning a scholarship to play volleyball at Princeton University.
